Dream Casting the Fourth Wing Characters: My Picks for the Perfect Lineup
Share
Alright, romantasy lovers, in honor of our favorite Shadow Daddy, Xaden Riorson’s birthday this month, let’s talk about something I know we’ve all done—dream casting the Fourth Wing TV series!
I don’t know about you, but ever since I dove into Fourth Wing, I’ve been mentally assembling my ideal cast for the big-screen adaptation (because LBH, it’s going to be hard to find someone who fits our mental image of Xaden!).
So, grab your popcorn and cozy blanket (or one of mine 😉), and let’s get into my picks for who should bring these unforgettable characters to life.
Matthew Daddario as Xaden
Tell me you don’t see it! Matthew Daddario has that dark, brooding intensity that Xaden needs. He’s got the smoldering looks and that “I could probably take down an entire army without breaking a sweat” vibe. Perfect, right? I mean, if Xaden’s supposed to have us swooning, Matthew’s got this on lock. You can’t tell me otherwise!
Landry Bender as Violet
Okay, hear me out. Landry Bender has that sweet, determined energy that just screams Violet. She’s not your typical warrior, but that’s what makes Violet so relatable and lovable. I can totally see her pulling off Violet’s mix of vulnerability and hidden strength. Plus, I can’t wait to watch Landry surprise everyone by stepping into Violet’s dragon-riding shoes and showing she’s so much more than meets the eye.
Marsai Martin as Rhiannon
Marsai Martin? Yes, please! She has the confidence, charisma, and killer vibes Rhiannon brings to the table. Rhiannon is a total badass, and Marsai would absolutely crush it as Violet’s fierce and loyal bestie. I already want to watch their friendship blossom on screen!
Emma Watson as Mira
Emma Watson as Mira is the big sister we all need in our lives. She’d bring that grounded, loving, and “I’ve got your back, no matter what” energy that makes Mira so endearing. Plus, who doesn’t love Emma Watson?! I can already picture her giving Violet one of those classic sibling pep talks. You know the ones.
Mariska Hargitay as Lilith
Mariska Hargitay? As Violet’s no-nonsense mom, Lilith? YES. She brings that commanding, authoritative energy we need in a leader but still has a soft spot (deep down… way deep down) for her daughter. She’d make an impact the second she steps on screen, no question.
Logan Lerman as Dain
Dain is complicated, right? He’s not bad, but he’s… well, we’ve got our issues with him. Enter Logan Lerman. He’s got the boy-next-door charm that makes you want to root for him, but you also know he could easily play up Dain’s frustrating inability to see what’s right in front of him. Sorry, Dain, but we’re team Xaden over here!
Keith Powers as Ridoc
Keith Powers as Ridoc is perfection. He’d bring that easy-going, charming personality that makes Ridoc such a fun character to read. I can already see him delivering Ridoc’s lines with a grin that has us all swooning (and probably laughing at the same time).
Alex Lange as Liam
Liam! I have such a soft spot for this guy, and Alex Lange is totally my pick for him. He’s got that wholesome, good-hearted vibe that makes you instantly love Liam. I can totally picture him being Violet’s protector, with that fierce loyalty and a kind smile to match.
Tom Glynn-Carney as Jack
Last but definitely not least—Jack. Tom Glynn-Carney would nail that cocky, villainous energy that makes us love to hate Jack. He’s just the right amount of charmingly sinister, and I’m honestly excited to see him bring all that chaos to life. Tell me he wouldn’t be perfect!
So, those are my casting picks for Fourth Wing! What do you think? Did I nail it, or do you have someone else in mind for these roles? Let me know in the comments! I’m ready to defend my choices… with snacks, of course.
And hey, while we’re here casting Fourth Wing in our minds, why not snuggle up with one of my cozy blankets and dive back into the book? Or better yet, treat yourself to a new bookish accessory that I just know Violet would love!
