I recently finished Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli and I just had to share my thoughts on this fantastic romantasy read. Don’t worry, no spoilers here! Let’s dive into what makes this book a must-read for any romantasy fan.

Things I Loved:

• The Slow Burn Romance: The slow burn was absolutely perfect! It didn’t feel like we were trudging through a lot of nothing only to have the characters suddenly fall in love. The pacing was just right, building tension and anticipation wonderfully.
• Rune’s Identity Struggle: I was captivated by Rune’s battle with her masks and her quest to discover who the real Rune is. It added so much depth to her character.
• Gideon’s Struggle with Guilt: Gideon’s journey dealing with his guilt and trauma was so well-written. I’m really hoping the sequel explores his potential realization that not all witches are evil. Fingers crossed!

Things I Didn’t Love:

• More Details about Verity: I really wish there were more details about Verity. It felt like there was so much more to explore with her character.
• Magic System Information: I wanted more information about the magic system. A bit more depth and explanation would have made the world-building even richer.

Overall Impressions:

Overall, I absolutely loved Heartless Hunter! It kept me on my toes with its unpredictable twists and turns. That’s no small feat for someone who devours as many books as I do! I’m already excited for the next book to come out. If you’re looking for a captivating romantasy with well-crafted characters and a gripping plot, definitely give Heartless Hunter a read. You won’t be disappointed! The only problem is that the sequel doesn’t come out until 2025! Aghhh!
