My Favorite Quotes from Quicksilver by Callie Hart

Hey there, Romantasy girlies!

You know that feeling when a book grabs you by the heart, shakes you up, and leaves you thinking about it long after you’ve turned the last page? That’s Quicksilver for me. Callie Hart’s writing is raw, poetic, and brimming with emotion—I couldn’t stop highlighting! Here are some of my favorite lines from the book that left a lasting impression. 

 

1. “Fuck me. That smile. Slightly open-mouthed, flashing the smallest hint of pointed teeth. I had to be so, so careful around that smile. It would wreck me if I let it.”

Spoiler alert: it wrecked her.  😂😍

 

2. “He pointed at me with the corner of his slice of toast. ‘You could eviscerate a man with that expression. It’s one of the things I love most about you.’”

Saeris is SO badass. And in a way that is so relatable. Sometimes being human in the world of fae makes her forget how capable she is, but I love it every time she stops and thinks, Wait. I CAN do this. 

 

3. “I wouldn’t admit it to myself, would never allow the thought to take shape, but my body wasn’t as accomplished at lying as my mind was. I did want Fisher. I hated myself for it. Hated that he knew it.”

The BANTER in this book?! Chef’s kiss. 💋 

 

4.  “Because she is moonlight. The mist that shrouds the mountains. The bite of electricity in the air before a storm. The smoke that rolls across a battlefield before the killing starts. You have no idea what she is. What she could be. You should call her Majesty.”

I am 100% DONE when it comes to Kingfisher. 10/10 book boyfriend, no notes.

 

5. “He was hard-packed muscle and hot, demanding breath, and the scent of fresh, cool mountain wind, and mint, and the forest at night, and—”

I need a candle of this. Like…. 🤤

This one speaks for itself. Can I get this on a t-shirt?

I can’t put my finger on why, but Little Osha might be my favorite nickname from a romance book ever. 🦋
